Devon Spring Ability Festival 27/4/17

27th April 2017

As we walked into the Sports Hall, straight away we just knew we were in for an exciting day. There was a buzz of excitement in the air, the music was playing and everyone had a huge smile on their face waiting in anticipation for the events to begin. It all started with an opening ceremony were we got the opportunity to watch ballet dancers, a contemporary dancer, jugglers, a paralympic gold and silver medallist in archery and a paralympic bronze medal winner for surfing.

The archery team performed brilliantly with Delina picking up a medal for the Spirit of the Games award. This is based on the Schools Games six values which are teamwork, honesty, respect, self belief, passion and determination.  Kodi, Henock and Coren also gave amazing performances.

The remaining four children were able to participate in a variety of events including tails, bench ball and , boccia. Mussab, Luc, Sasha and Maxwell  were all amazing and gave 100%in each activity.

We were fortunate to sample other activities too which included table cricket, dancing and arts and crafts.

An amazing day was had by all of us!
