KS1

2017 Year 1 - Phonics screening – with the score again of 32+, we achieved 64%. The small cohort of 11 has been affected by one selective mute, two children on SEN K and extensive health and learning issues as well as a new admission only recently arrived in school and new to the country. Of the Year 2’s that had to re-sit the test, one passed. A new entrant to the year group with no previous data also passed.

The SATs results are a bit of a mixed bag.
Whilst we would have liked to have had a higher % getting 2 levels of progress, a high percentage actually made 3 levels of progress – 19% in reading, 31% in writing and 38% in maths. One child made four levels of progress in maths.
As level 6 has again been introduced, we are delighted that one boy achieved this very high standard.
An individual breakdown of each child’s achievements will be made to tell each learning story.
Fischer Family Trust material will be used to measure progress from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2. The overall value added score was 100 - below for English and above for Maths.
